The download
No charge, no card, and no account to create before the app opens.
Your first 10 items
Still no account. Enough to point the camera at a few things and watch the scanning do the typing, which is the part worth judging.
14 days of everything
Confirm an email address and every feature unlocks for 14 days, up to 50 items — about two rooms. No payment card. The 14 days start the next time you open the app after confirming, so confirming from a laptop at work does not cost you a day.
What isn't free
Inventorying a whole house. Past the trial, unlimited items, cloud backup, smart scan, and warranty reminders need a subscription — $5.00 a month billed yearly.
Nothing you enter gets locked away
If you try it and don't subscribe, everything you already recorded stays readable, and PDF and spreadsheet exports keep working on every tier — for good. Four things do stop: adding new items past the free limit, cloud backup updating, smart scan, and warranty and maintenance reminders. Nothing already entered is taken away. An inventory app that held your records hostage would be a poor one to trust with the day you actually need them.

Android
On the way, not released. The backup format is already cross-platform, so an inventory started on an iPhone can move to an Android phone when it arrives — backed up to Google Drive, and using your recovery key.
No signal required
Everything except cloud backup and smart scan works fully offline, which is the difference between an app that works in a garage or a storage unit and one that doesn't.
